Hi! I'm Julia AKA retrohorrormu or retrohorrormakeup. I'm 22 years old and I'm an aspiring makeup artist. I started this blog to put myself out there and to help anyone I can with anything beauty related! I went to school in Fort Collins, Co for hairstyling. Colorado is one of the few states that accept a hair only license along with skin and nails. When I first started school for whatever reason I decided to just do the hair program. I figured out about halfway through that my real passion was make-up. I've always been in love with make up and I'm not sure why I never thought of turning it into a career until about a year ago. I still do love talking and doing hair but only for family/friends. I will definitely be posting blogs that are hair related as well. I'm going to start esthetics school in Phoenix within the next couple months and I couldn't be more excited!
Now a little more on my personal life. I was born in Bamberg, Germany. My dad was in the Army and my mom was born and raised there and they met, got married and had me! We moved to the states when I was around 2 years old, about the time when my dad's term in the military had ended. We ended up in Colorado Springs, Co and then we ended up in Limon, Co because my dad got a job there. It's a very very small town in Eastern Co. I basically grew up there and graduated high school. I took a year off from school then moved to Fort Collins for school in July of 09. I finished my school in Feb of 11 and moved back home for the summer. That brings us to what's going on today! I live in the Phoenix area now, mainly to be with my boyfriend of 2 years moved there in April of this year. That basically sums it up!
